The professor is dumping toxic waste into the river. One of his creations -- Purple tentacle drinks from the water and grows hands. Coincidently he suddenly wants to take over the world. The professor ties up him and the other tentacle (Green), but Bernard and his friends come to Green tentacle's rescue and let both of them loose. Now they have to undo what's happened, so they use the prof's time machine to go back to yesterday, but the machine sends Bernard's two friends to two different times in history (past and future) and leaves Bernard here in the present. We have to bring the two poor souls back and try to save the world again
This is a typical LucasArts game. Great graphics, matching music and a brilliant (and hilarious) story. It meets (if not exceeds) the LucasArts standard every inch of the way
