King Edward is dying, but his soul cannot rest in peace until the kingdom's three lost treasures are refound and thus peace and prosperity are brought back to Daventry. He chose Sir Graham to achieve this task and then claim the throne.
This game is really old, so Sierra, as they did in many cases, made an update version of this game too. Unfortunately the original is so old, that even the update version has only EGA graphics. Both the original and the update version use a type-in interpreter (different versions though) so if you hate typing, then this game is not for you (and neither are the next three episodes). Anyway, if you can set aside the graphics and the (absence of) music, you get a fabulous game. I know the story seems a bit simplistic (to say the least), but when you play the game, it just gets you.
