Loom is a superb adventure from the adventure masters at LucasArts, with a very good plot. I'm not going to say anything about the plot, since the game isn't too long, and I don't want to spoil anything. The game has awesome graphics, which is logical, since this is the updated CDROM version, which spurrs VGA graphics compared to the original's EGA (which, IMHO, looked almost as awesome in their own right) and a great atmosphere. After awhile, you really get into the world, into the characters and into the game in general

The interface is the most unique thing about this game. You don't have an inventory as all you have is a stick. A stick? That's all? Well, yeah. But with this stick, you can weave spells. Spells you will encounter during the game. I could give examples of spells, but that would ruin things for you when you actually play it :). The way you weave, and learn spells, is by musical methods. The stick has notes. and clicking the notes plays a tune (even though the sound doesn't work in this version, you probably get my grasp), which, in turn, might or might not be a spell. The only hint I'll give you about the spells is that when you cast a spell backwards, it many a time has the backwards effect as well

A little gem, which no true adventure gamer must allow him or herself to miss. Even though you'll probably finish it in a short amount of time, it's still worth it just for the magical feel of the whole game. Seriously, you won't be disappointed
