This is the second episode of the Space
Quest series. These Space Quests just keep getting better and better. I
didn't like the first episode, the second one was okay but this one's
definitely good. The graphics are higher resolution EGA now, so you don't
have to watch those blocky low res monsters any more yeah, instead you
get blocky high res monsters now
After escaping from Vohaul's space station Rog spends his time in
suspended animation in a small escape pod drifting in space. His
(relatively) peaceful sleep is disturbed when a robot commanded garbage
freighter picks up traces of his escape pod and since this robot has
little care for organic life he dumps the pod in his cargo hold along with
all the other junk. Now Roger has to escape (which isn't an easy job in
itself) but of course that's not his only problem. A terminator droid is
after him because he 'forgot' to pay for that mating whistle he ordered in
Space Quest II. To make things a bit more complicated, he gets a distress
message (in a video game, where else) and since he's the hero of the
universe, he has to go and rescue the two guys who are in trouble
This episode is a little different from the first two. You have to do a
lot of 'travelling' in space. There aren't too many planets you can go to,
but there's no specific order by which you have to visit them and that
makes the game much more complicated. That's why I think this game is a
little harder than the first two (although the puzzles aren't harder at
all). The graphics, as you can see, are pretty nice for an EGA game. The
music is still a critical point, but this time they've written a few more
songs. It's still far from enough, but at least the ones they wrote are
very nice. (I have to admit I only heard them on the PC speaker, but some
of them sounded nice even on that.) My only problem with the game was that
it was a little too short. It should .be about twice as long as it is now
.(A very good game all around (disregarding its age
