When Blizzard released the original
Warcraft game, no one really foresaw the impact that this game would have,
or that it would become on of the most popular and well-loved RTS of the
last ten years
Then came WarCraft2..and they not only went one better, this one game set
the standard,in a class of excellence
WarCraft 2 is the followon to the original, and expands upon the war
between the Orcs and the Humans of Lordaeron
Many sequels lack a certain something..always being said that the original
was better.
Blizzard took that preconception and fed it to the Orcs.:)
From the first splash screen to the opening intro movie, you are
reintroduced to the world of Warcraft with a bang.
You can fight as either Orc or Human, each having its strengths and
weaknesses, as well as some decidedly lethal advantages. You have choices
of land, sea and air troops, mages, catapults, cavalry (Knights and
Paladins) and even submarines
The game is mission driven, each chapter a stage of the war, moving from
the basic first four missions which serve as an extremely effective
tutorial and "warmup",along with a full briefing and mission objectives
clearly outlined.
Gameplay is intuitive, entirely mouse driven, the tech tree is clearly
delineated and easy to understand
